Dear Families,
This morning we had our non-referral celebration in the media center. (Jake) Students got to create with lots of different items and played with different kinds of toys that they could build with!
In writing workshop we got to write about something using our opinions. (Dayton) Persuasive writing using our opinions is the next kind of writing that we will start learning in class.

We made a headband that shows different ways we can be healthy! (Kate)

I am really enjoying seeing you at our conferences! Thank you to those that have met with me already! I look forward to seeing everyone else J
A couple of reminders:
·         There is no need to sign and return the slip on the report card since we will be going over it in person at our conference.
·         If you do not show up for conferences we will work to reschedule for next week.  In other words, I’d like to meet with all parents in person.
·         I will send Friday folders on Thursday this week—no school Friday.

·         I had a few ask me about behavior since my email yesterday mentioned that we are working on behavior.  This time of year is always hard as the kids are more familiar with each other and me.  All of the interruptions with snow days and days off of school have not helped.  We are re-visiting rules and expectations as well as modeling specific positive behaviors. I plan on sending home safe seat notes for any visits to the safe seat so you can be better aware if a situation occurred in class with your child. J  I also have some positives built in as well.
